Job Overview
This role is ideal for a dynamic professional passionate about leveraging digital media to enhance educational outcomes and community engagement. The Digital Media and Communications Officer will lead the creation and dissemination of educational content tailored to Zambian audiences, with a focus on rural development and digital inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital media strategies to promote educational programs and initiatives.
- Create engaging multimedia content (videos, infographics, podcasts) aligned with educational goals.
- Collaborate with local schools and community organizations to identify content needs and feedback.
- Manage social media platforms and digital campaigns to increase program visibility and participation.
- Monitor and analyze the impact of digital content using analytics tools and report findings to stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to local partners on digital tools and platforms.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in digital content creation and social media management.
- Strong understanding of educational technology and e-learning platforms.
- Excellent project management and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in video editing, graphic design, and SEO best practices.
- Ability to adapt content for diverse audiences, including rural and underserved communities.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, Education, or related field.
- Advanced degree or certifications in Digital Marketing or Educational Technology preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in digital media, communications, or educational content development.
- Experience working in multicultural or international development contexts is an advantage.
Salary
120,000 – 150,000 ZMW per annum, commensurate with experience.
