Job Overview
This role is pivotal in optimizing Danone Zambia’s supply chain to align with global sustainability goals. The analyst will lead initiatives to reduce waste, enhance supplier collaboration, and implement eco-friendly logistics solutions. The position requires a strategic thinker with expertise in both supply chain operations and environmental sustainability. Candidates will leverage data analytics to identify inefficiencies and propose innovative solutions that balance business growth with ecological responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor KPIs for supply chain sustainability performance
- Collaborate with suppliers to implement sustainable sourcing practices
- Analyze supply chain data to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
- Design and execute waste reduction programs across production facilities
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into procurement processes
- Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and external sustainability certifications
Required Skills
- Expertise in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Proficiency in life cycle assessment (LCA) tools
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization platforms
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 or similar environmental management standards
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
- Fluency in Zambian local languages preferred
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, or related field. Advanced degree (Master’s) in Sustainable Business or Environmental Engineering is a plus.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in supply chain roles with a focus on sustainability. Prior experience in food manufacturing or agricultural supply chains is highly desirable.
Salary
1,200,000 – 1,800,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
