Job Overview

The Regional Merchandise Planner will be responsible for developing and executing strategic merchandise plans that align with Shoprite’s brand promise and financial objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, and seasonal merchandise plans based on sales forecasts, market insights, and corporate targets.
• Collaborate with category managers to define product assortment, pricing, and promotional calendars for the Mwinilunga region.
• Monitor inventory performance, identify excess or slow‑moving stock, and implement corrective actions to improve turnover.
• Analyze point‑of‑sale data, competitor activity, and consumer trends to refine assortment strategies.
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting key metrics such as sell‑through, gross margin, and stock‑to‑sales ratios.
