Job Summary
Ndola Central Hospital is seeking a skilled Hospital Administrative Officer to manage daily administrative operations and support the smooth running of hospital services. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of administrative experience in a healthcare or hospital setting and will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
The Administrative Officer will coordinate office activities, manage records, liaise with departments, and ensure compliance with hospital policies. This role is crucial for efficient patient services, departmental coordination, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the hospital.
Maintain and update patient records, staff files, and hospital documentation.
Coordinate meetings, schedules, and communications across hospital departments.
Monitor and report on hospital operational metrics, budgets, and expenditures.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and government regulations.
Assist with human resources activities including staff onboarding, attendance, and leave management.
Support procurement processes, manage office supplies, and track inventory.
Liaise with hospital departments, government agencies, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for hospital management.
Assist in the implementation of hospital projects, quality assurance initiatives, and administrative audits.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in hospital administration, healthcare office management, or similar administrative roles.
Strong knowledge of hospital operational procedures, record management, and office software (MS Office, LIS, or hospital ERP systems).
Understanding of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and healthcare administration best practices.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to coordinate multiple departments.
