Job Purpose
To serve as a strategic interface between internal stakeholders and the Supply Chain team, ensuring effective sourcing strategies, strong commercial oversight, and compliance with procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder & Commercial Support
Act as the main commercial liaison between end users and supply chain teams
Translate business needs into clear sourcing requirements
Provide guidance in developing and refining Scopes of Work (SOW)
Procurement & Market Analysis
Conduct market research to identify reliable and cost-effective suppliers
Support supplier sourcing, evaluation, and selection processes
Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities
Compliance & Governance
Ensure procurement activities comply with local regulations and company policies
Support Local Content Management System (LOCAS) activities including reporting and tracking
Maintain transparency and accountability in sourcing processes
Process Improvement
Drive continuous improvement in supply chain and procurement operations
Enhance efficiency, value delivery, and operational effectiveness
Qualifications
Full Grade 12 School Certificate
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field
Membership with Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles
Experience in mining or heavy industry is an advantage
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools (Power BI, SQL, etc.)
Knowledge of supply chain processes (procurement, warehousing, distribution)
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar
