Job Overview
Enel Green Power Zambia seeks a dynamic Energy Systems Optimization Engineer to design, implement, and monitor renewable energy systems in Solwezi. This role will play a critical part in optimizing energy efficiency, reducing operational costs, and ensuring alignment with global sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize energy systems for maximum efficiency and output
- Conduct feasibility studies for new renewable energy projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate energy solutions
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements
- Ensure compliance with national and international energy regulations
- Provide technical support for project execution and maintenance
Required Skills
- Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., HOMER, MATLAB)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with project management methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Knowledge of Zambian energy sector regulations
- Ability to work in remote field environments
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Environmental Science. Advanced certification in renewable energy systems is an advantage.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, preferably in sub-Saharan Africa. Prior experience with solar or wind energy systems is required.
Salary
200,000 – 300,000 Zambian Kwacha per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
