Job Overview
The AI Solutions Architect will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI solutions for Microsoft’s enterprise customers in Zambia and the broader Southern African region. This role involves translating business requirements into scalable AI architectures, leveraging Microsoft Azure AI services, and ensuring solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to craft compelling AI proposals, conduct technical workshops, and guide customers through proof‑of‑concept implementations. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to understand business challenges and translate them into AI solution designs.
- Architect end‑to‑end AI solutions using Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and Bot Framework.
- Develop proof‑of‑concepts, demos, and technical workshops to showcase solution value.
- Ensure solutions adhere to security, privacy, and regulatory compliance standards applicable in Zambia.
- Partner with sales and account teams to create compelling proposals and respond to RFPs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and consultants.
- Contribute to the creation of reference architectures, whitepapers, and best‑practice guides.
- Stay current with emerging AI trends, tools, and technologies to drive continuous innovation.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and Azure AI services.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Java.
- Experience designing scalable cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven track record delivering AI solutions in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of data governance, ethics, and responsible AI principles.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing AI solutions for large‑scale enterprise customers. Prior experience in consulting or a technology services environment is advantageous.
Salary
The competitive salary range for this role is SSP 250,000 to 350,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and stock‑option incentives may also be offered.
