Job Overview

This role is central to Ecobank’s mission to expand digital financial inclusion in rural and semi-urban areas of Zambia. The Digital Financial Inclusion Specialist will design and implement strategies to promote the adoption of mobile and digital banking solutions, ensuring equitable access to financial tools for marginalized populations. The position requires collaboration with local governments, NGOs, and community leaders to tailor financial products to the needs of low-income and unbanked customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute digital financial inclusion strategies for rural communities in Mufumbwe and surrounding regions.
• Design and deliver training programs on digital banking platforms, mobile money transactions, and financial literacy.
• Conduct market research to identify gaps in financial services and recommend innovative solutions.
• Partner with local stakeholders to establish community-based financial service points and digital kiosks.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of digital financial initiatives on customer adoption and economic growth.

Required Skills

• Proven expertise in digital financial services, mobile banking, or fintech solutions.
• Strong understanding of financial inclusion frameworks and regulatory compliance in Zambia.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and community outreach capabilities.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) for performance tracking.
• Fluency in Zambian local languages (e.g., Bemba, Nyanja) is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in Digital Innovation or Financial Technology is advantageous.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in financial services, digital banking, or development programs.
• Previous work in rural or community-based financial inclusion projects preferred.

Salary

120,000 – 150,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and performance.
