Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Grid Integration Engineer to join our Engineering and Grid Operations department in Kitwe. In this role, you will manage the technical integration of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and hydro, into the existing CEC transmission and distribution grid. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform grid impact, load flow, and transient stability analyses.
  • Design and review interconnection systems and protection schemes.
  • Collaborate with external developers to ensure compliance with grid codes.
  • Coordinate with system operations to optimize grid performance.
  • Supervise the testing and commissioning of new grid-connected assets.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in power system simulation software such as PSS/E.
  • Strong understanding of electrical transmission systems and grid codes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on power quality.

Education

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Professional registration with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) is highly desirable.
