Job Overview
The Geospatial Mapping Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of GIS solutions for our customers in Zambia. The successful candidate will have a strong background in GIS, with experience in geospatial mapping, data analysis, and spatial modeling. They will work closely with our customers to understand their needs, providing expert guidance and support to ensure the effective use of GIS technology.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GIS principles, including data structures, spatial analysis, and mapping techniques. They will be proficient in Esri software, including ArcGIS and ArcMap, and have experience with data visualization and spatial modeling.
In addition to technical skills, the Geospatial Mapping Specialist will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. They will be a team player, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement GIS solutions for customers in Zambia
- Provide expert guidance and support to customers on GIS technology and applications
- Conduct geospatial mapping, data analysis, and spatial modeling to support customer projects
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions
- Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems or related field
- 5 years of experience in GIS, with a focus on geospatial mapping and spatial analysis
- Proficiency in Esri software, including ArcGIS and ArcMap
- Strong understanding of GIS principles, including data structures, spatial analysis, and mapping techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
Education
