Job Overview

The Senior Mine Ventilation Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ventilation systems for Glencore’s underground operations in the Copperbelt region. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate comprehensive ventilation plans for new and existing underground mine sections.
• Conduct regular airflow measurements, modelling, and analysis to ensure compliance with safety regulations and optimal air quality.
• Lead the selection, installation, and maintenance of ventilation equipment, including fans, ducts, and monitoring devices.
• Coordinate with mining engineers, geologists, and production supervisors to integrate ventilation requirements into overall mine design.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, risk assessments, and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Mentor junior ventilation staff and provide training on best practices, emergency response, and regulatory updates.

Education

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of eight years of hands‑on experience in underground mine ventilation, with at least three years in a senior or lead engineering role. Salary
