Job Overview

The E‑commerce Operations Manager will lead the end‑to‑end online shopping experience for Shoprite Zambia’s customers. Reporting to the Head of Digital Commerce, the manager will oversee order fulfillment, inventory coordination, last‑mile delivery, and customer service excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily e‑commerce operations, including order processing, inventory management, and fulfillment.
• Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery across Zambia.
• Develop and implement SOPs to improve operational efficiency and reduce order cycle time.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, delivery speed, and customer satisfaction, and generate regular performance reports.
• Lead a team of warehouse supervisors, fulfillment specialists, and customer service agents, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with the IT department to troubleshoot platform issues and implement system enhancements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data‑driven insights and industry benchmarks.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards in all e‑commerce activities.
• Manage relationships with third‑party service providers, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.
• Support promotional campaigns and seasonal peaks by scaling operations and optimizing resource allocation.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
