Job Description (JD)
The Area Manager will be responsible for managing multiple retail furniture stores within an assigned territory. The role focuses on maximizing branch performance, improving customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance with company standards, and developing strong leadership teams across branches.
The successful candidate will oversee branch operations, mentor branch managers, implement sales strategies, and ensure stores consistently achieve financial and operational goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to increase revenue and achieve branch sales targets
- Oversee the performance of multiple retail furniture stores within the assigned operational area
- Conduct regular branch visits to monitor performance, compliance, merchandising standards, and operational efficiency
- Ensure superior customer service and create a shopping environment that promotes sales growth
- Analyze branch financial reports, sales performance, and operational metrics to identify areas requiring improvement
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise Branch Managers and sales personnel to build high-performing teams
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide coaching for continuous improvement
- Ensure proper stock management and inventory control across all branches
- Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to align branch-level initiatives
- Enforce company compliance policies related to safety, operations, and security procedures
- Drive teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence within the assigned region

Education Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants should possess:
- Grade 12 Certificate (Mandatory)
- Additional qualifications in Business Administration, Retail Management, Sales, Marketing, or Operations Management will be considered an added advantage
Experience Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail management
- At least 2 years of furniture retail experience in a supervisory or management role
- Proven success in achieving branch targets and driving retail profitability
- Experience managing teams across multiple retail locations preferred
- Strong background in customer service and operational management
