We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Laboratory Director to oversee our diagnostic operations in Ndola. This critical leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage all clinical laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with ISO 15189.
  • Oversee quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing programs.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate laboratory staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to provide expert consultation on laboratory results.
  • Manage laboratory budgets, resource allocation, and equipment procurement.

Required Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of clinical pathology, hematology, and molecular diagnostics.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Pathology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or a closely related clinical field. Registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) is mandatory.

Experience

A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a clinical laboratory setting is required, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial or supervisory capacity.
