Job Overview
The Enterprise Cloud Security Architect will lead the design, implementation, and governance of secure cloud solutions for Microsoft’s enterprise customers in Zambia and the broader Southern Africa region. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to develop security architectures that meet regulatory compliance, industry standards, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect secure Azure cloud solutions for enterprise clients, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and local regulations.
- Conduct security risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analyses for cloud workloads.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and governance frameworks across multi‑tenant environments.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to integrate security controls into solution proposals and implementations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers and consultants.
- Lead security workshops, webinars, and training sessions for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging security threats, cloud technologies, and compliance requirements such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and Zambia’s Data Protection Act.
- Prepare detailed security architecture documentation, reports, and executive briefings.
- Participate in incident response and forensic investigations for cloud‑related security events.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure security services (Azure Sentinel, Azure AD, Azure Security Center, etc.).
- Strong understanding of networking, identity management, encryption, and zero‑trust architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation and security orchestration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
- Experience with compliance frameworks and regulatory standards relevant to Zambia and the African market.
- Certification preferred: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, or CISM.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications in cloud security are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of seven years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing security solutions in cloud environments, preferably with a focus on Microsoft Azure. Demonstrated experience in leading security projects for large enterprises, conducting risk assessments, and delivering security consulting services is essential.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 120,000 to SSP 180,000 per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and performance. In addition to the base salary, Microsoft Zambia offers performance‑based bonuses, stock awards, and a comprehensive benefits suite.
