Job Overview

The Insurance Claims Analyst will play a pivotal role in evaluating, processing, and managing insurance claims across a diverse portfolio of products, including motor, property, health, and life insurance. Reporting to the Claims Manager, the analyst will ensure timely and accurate assessment of claim submissions, adherence to policy terms, and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess incoming insurance claims for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policy terms.
  • Conduct investigations, gather supporting documentation, and liaise with claimants, medical providers, and third‑party adjusters.
  • Utilize claim management software to enter data, track progress, and generate reports for senior management.
  • Identify potential fraud indicators and collaborate with the fraud detection team to initiate investigations.
  • Coordinate with underwriting and legal departments to resolve complex or disputed claims.
  • Maintain detailed records of claim decisions, communications, and settlements in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clear and empathetic communication to policyholders regarding claim status, required actions, and settlement outcomes.
  • Analyze claim trends and contribute to the development of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives within the claims workflow.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Law, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications or equivalent are advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 3‑5 years of experience in insurance claims handling, preferably within a general insurance environment. Experience with motor or property claims, as well as exposure to health or life insurance claims, will be considered a strong asset.
