Job Overview

Ndola Central Hospital is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join its healthcare team in Ndola. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist in medical procedures, and maintain clinical standards across hospital departments.

The role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Nurses will collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and health progress.

Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies.

Assist in diagnostic tests, surgeries, and clinical procedures.

Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.

Implement infection control measures and safety protocols.

Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.

Participate in emergency response and critical care.

Collaborate with medical teams for care planning and coordination.

Supervise junior nurses and provide clinical mentoring.

Uphold nursing ethics and patient confidentiality.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing

Registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia

3–5 years clinical nursing experience

Knowledge of patient care standards, clinical procedures, and ethical practice

Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

Flexibility for shift work including nights and weekends

Salary & Benefits

Annual Salary: Approximately ZMW 120,000 – ZMW 180,000 per year
