Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Auditor will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Nestlé Zambia’s product integrity, ensuring compliance with international food safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the Mufulira manufacturing plant. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and report on internal quality audits covering production, packaging, and storage processes.
- Assess compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and local regulatory requirements.
- Identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and monitor implementation effectiveness.
- Maintain and update quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and audit records.
- Collaborate with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to drive root‑cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Support external audits by regulatory bodies and third‑party certification agencies.
- Analyze audit data to generate trends, dashboards, and actionable insights for senior management.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects such as Lean, Six Sigma, and waste reduction initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, GFSI).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills for reporting findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward quality excellence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or HACCP Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety auditing, or a similar role within the food and beverage manufacturing sector. Experience with multinational corporations and exposure to both internal and external audit processes will be considered an advantage.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 150,000 to 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based incentives and annual bonuses are part of the total remuneration package.
