Job Overview
As a Smart Water Management Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain intelligent water distribution systems using cutting-edge technologies like IoT sensors, real-time data analytics, and predictive modeling. This role is critical to Suez’s mission to ensure sustainable water access in rural and urban Zambian communities while minimizing environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy smart water management solutions for municipal and industrial clients
- Conduct audits of existing water distribution networks to identify inefficiencies
- Integrate IoT sensors and SCADA systems for real-time water quality and flow monitoring
- Collaborate with local governments to design climate-adaptive water infrastructure
- Prepare technical reports and sustainability impact assessments
Required Skills
- Expertise in water distribution system modeling (e.g., WaterGEMS or EPANET)
- Proficiency in IoT platform integration and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of Zambian water policy and environmental regulations
- Strong project management and cross-sector collaboration skills
- Fluency in Python or R for data analysis
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Water Resource Management
- Master’s Degree in Smart Infrastructure or Environmental Sustainability preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years in water systems engineering with a focus on digital transformation
- Proven experience in Zambian water management projects
Salary
200,000 – 300,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
