Job Purpose
To support supply chain efficiency by aligning technical requirements with operational needs, improving sourcing processes, and ensuring accurate data and specifications across procurement systems.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Support
Collaborate with end users to develop and refine Scopes of Work (SOW)
Ensure technical accuracy, clarity, and completeness of specifications
Standardize technical requirements to reduce duplication and inefficiencies
Procurement & Supplier Support
Support strategic sourcing and contract consolidation initiatives
Work with Commercial Officers on supplier identification and evaluation
Provide technical input for supplier selection processes
Data Management & Systems
Assist in cleansing and standardizing inventory master data
Support cataloguing processes for accurate classification of materials
Improve data quality within ERP and inventory systems
Supplier Performance & Improvement
Support implementation of supplier performance evaluation systems
Develop technical evaluation criteria for supplier assessments
Drive continuous improvement across supply chain processes
Qualifications
Full Grade 12 School Certificate
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical or engineering role
Experience in mining or heavy industry is preferred
Experience in drafting and reviewing technical specifications and SOWs
Technical Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools (Power BI, SQL, etc.)
Knowledge of ERP and inventory management systems
Understanding of mining equipment, operations, and services
