Job Overview

This Cybersecurity Analyst role focuses on safeguarding Huawei’s IT infrastructure and client data through advanced threat detection, vulnerability assessments, and incident response strategies. The position requires collaboration with global teams to implement industry-leading security protocols and ensure compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security threats using SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms.
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify system weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.
• Investigate security incidents and coordinate incident response across technical teams.
• Provide training to staff on cybersecurity best practices and phishing awareness.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in cybersecurity tools (e.g., FireEye, Splunk, Wireshark).
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and network security protocols.
• Strong analytical skills for threat pattern recognition and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication for reporting to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred but not required.

Experience

• 3-5 years in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on threat analysis or incident response.
• Experience in Zambia’s ICT sector or multinational environments.

Salary

22,000 – 32,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and certifications.
