Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst will play a critical role in our security operations center. This position is designed for a proactive professional who can identify, analyze, and mitigate emerging cyber threats before they impact our infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring global threat landscapes, analyzing malicious patterns, and providing actionable intelligence to our security engineering teams. This is a vital role in ensuring the resilience of our cloud services and protecting our clients’ most sensitive information from sophisticated cyber-attacks.

As we continue hiring in Zambia, we are looking for individuals who can bridge the gap between raw data and strategic security decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement defensive measures and refine our incident response protocols. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor global threat feeds and intelligence sources to identify emerging cyber threats.
  • Analyze malware samples and attack patterns to understand adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Produce detailed intelligence reports for stakeholders and security operations teams.
  • Collaborate with incident response teams to provide context during active security events.
  • Develop and refine detection rules for security monitoring tools.
  • Participate in threat hunting exercises to proactively identify hidden vulnerabilities.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in network security protocols and architecture.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools.
  • Knowledge of common attack vectors such as phishing, ransomware, and DDoS.
  • Excellent technical writing skills for intelligence reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct experience in cybersecurity analysis, threat intelligence, or security operations. Proven experience in identifying and mitigating advanced persistent threats (APTs) is essential for success in this role.

Salary
