Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Incident Response Specialist to join our security operations team in Mansa. This role is critical to protecting our regional infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. The successful candidate will be responsible for detecting, analyzing, and mitigating security breaches and cyberattacks. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs to identify potential security threats and anomalies.
- Lead the investigation and containment of security incidents, including malware infections and unauthorized access attempts.
- Perform root cause analysis to understand the origin and impact of security breaches.
- Develop and implement remediation strategies to prevent future security incidents.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to strengthen security controls and system hardening.
- Prepare detailed incident reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Participate in regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS).
- Proficiency in digital forensics tools and incident management platforms.
- Strong understanding of common attack vectors such as phishing, ransomware, and SQL injection.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities under high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed, global security operations center environment.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with a specific focus on incident response, threat hunting, or digital forensics. Proven experience in managing large-scale security events in a corporate environment is essential for this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 75,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise and technical certifications.
