Job Overview
This role focuses on designing and implementing smart transportation solutions for Mansa’s growing urban population. The successful candidate will lead data-driven planning initiatives to optimize public transit routes, pedestrian infrastructure, and non-motorized transport networks. The position offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge mobility technologies and collaborate with international urban development experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop integrated urban mobility master plans aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals
- Conduct traffic flow analysis using AI-powered simulation tools
- Design accessible public transportation systems for underserved communities
- Coordinate with municipal authorities on infrastructure implementation
- Monitor and report on mobility project performance metrics
Required Skills
- Proficiency in urban mobility modeling software (e.g., PTV Visum)
- Experience with GIS mapping for transportation planning
- Knowledge of Zambian urban development regulations
- Strong analytical skills for traffic pattern analysis
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and presentation abilities
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred but not required
Experience

- Previous experience in African urban development contexts
Salary
250,000 – 350,000 ZMW per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
