We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Forestry and Conservation Manager to join our team in Mongu, Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our digital forestry and conservation initiatives, developing and implementing conservation strategies, and collaborating with local stakeholders to promote sustainable land use practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital forestry and conservation strategies to promote sustainable land use practices
  • Lead conservation efforts in Mongu, Zambia, and collaborate with local stakeholders to achieve conservation goals
  • Manage and maintain digital databases and mapping systems to track conservation progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement training programs for local communities and conservation staff on digital forestry and conservation techniques
  • Collaborate with local government agencies and NGOs to promote conservation efforts and advocate for policy changes

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in digital forestry and conservation, with a focus on sustainable land use practices

Education

Salary

The salary for this position is 60,000 – 90,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
