Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Digital Forestry and Conservation Manager to join our team in Petauke, Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our digital forestry initiatives, developing and implementing conservation strategies, and collaborating with local stakeholders to protect and restore Zambia’s natural resources. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the conservation of Zambia’s unique biodiversity.

- Develop and implement digital forestry initiatives to monitor and protect Zambia’s forests
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and private sector partners, to develop and implement conservation strategies
- Conduct field research and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of conservation efforts
- Develop and manage budgets, reports, and other documentation to track progress and ensure accountability
- Represent The Nature Conservancy in national and international forums, advocating for the protection of Zambia’s natural resources
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in conservation, forestry, or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful conservation initiatives
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders
