Job Overview

The Mining Operations Analyst will support the planning, monitoring, and optimization of daily mining activities at the Kansanshi Mine complex. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the analyst will use data‑driven techniques to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and enhance safety performance. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, geology, and maintenance teams to translate operational data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and analyze real‑time production data from mine floor systems.
• Develop performance dashboards and KPI reports for senior management.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to increase ore throughput.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule predictive maintenance based on equipment performance trends.
• Support short‑term and long‑term mine planning by providing accurate operational forecasts.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory and internal compliance reports.

• Maintain documentation of analytical methodologies and ensure data integrity.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in mining software such as MineSight, Vulcan, or Datamine.

• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to cross‑functional teams.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, or a related technical field is required. Professional certifications in data analytics or mining operations are advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

Minimum of five years of experience in mining operations analysis, production planning, or a similar role within the mining industry. Experience with large‑scale copper or gold mining operations is preferred.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
