Job Overview

The Sustainability Reporting Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics that align with Nestlé’s corporate sustainability framework. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, the analyst will ensure accurate data capture, compliance with international reporting standards, and the creation of compelling narratives for internal and external stakeholders. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing Nestlé’s transparency and credibility in the market, supporting the company’s broader goals of responsible sourcing, waste reduction, and community development. Key Responsibilities

• Gather and validate ESG data from production, supply chain, and corporate functions across all Nestlé Zambia sites.
• Prepare quarterly and annual sustainability reports in line with GRI, SASB, and CDP guidelines.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations to track progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as carbon footprint, water usage, and waste diversion.
• Collaborate with the Procurement and Agriculture teams to assess supplier sustainability performance and recommend improvement actions.
• Support internal audit processes by providing evidence of compliance with local regulations and international standards.
• Assist the Communications team in crafting sustainability stories for press releases, investor presentations, and social media.
• Identify data gaps and propose system enhancements to improve data quality and reporting efficiency.
• Participate in external stakeholder engagements, including NGOs, government agencies, and industry forums, representing Nestlé’s sustainability initiatives.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, CDP) and sustainability metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating complex data into clear narratives.
• Ability to work collaboratively across diverse functional teams and manage multiple deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
• Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with additional certifications such as GRI Certified Sustainability Reporting Professional or a Master’s degree will be given preference.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG data management, or a related role within the manufacturing or consumer goods sector. Experience in a multinational corporation and exposure to international reporting standards will be highly valued.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and annual cost‑of‑living adjustments are part of the compensation package.
