Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Consultant to join our team in Lusaka, Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our conservation projects and programs, as well as promoting sustainable development practices among local communities.

The Sustainability Consultant will work closely with our project teams, government agencies, and local stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable solutions to environmental challenges. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to conservation projects and programs, including developing and implementing sustainable solutions to environmental challenges.
  • Work closely with project teams, government agencies, and local stakeholders to promote sustainable development practices among local communities.
  • Develop and implement sustainable livelihoods projects for local communities, including agroforestry, beekeeping, and ecotourism.
  • Conduct research and analysis on sustainable development issues, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and human-wildlife conflict.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track progress and impact of conservation projects and programs.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sustainability consulting, conservation, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to develop and implement sustainable solutions to environmental challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and project teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.

Experience

5-7 years of experience in sustainability consulting, conservation, or related field.

Salary

5000-8000 SSP per month.
