Job Overview
The Corporate Treasury Analyst will support the Treasury Department in managing liquidity, foreign exchange risk, and short‑term funding strategies. Working closely with senior treasury managers, the analyst will monitor cash flows, execute market transactions, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The position offers exposure to a fast‑moving banking environment and the chance to develop expertise in treasury operations, an essential component of Employment in Zambia’s financial sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash positions and forecast short‑term liquidity needs.
- Execute foreign exchange and money market transactions in line with the bank’s risk appetite.
- Prepare treasury reports for senior management, regulators and internal audit.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of treasury policies and procedures.
- Analyze market trends and provide recommendations on hedging strategies.
- Collaborate with the Credit and Risk departments to ensure alignment of funding activities.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
- Proficiency in treasury management systems and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Zambian banking regulations and international financial markets.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) are advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of relevant experience in corporate treasury, cash management, or related financial functions within a banking or corporate environment.
Salary
The role offers a competitive salary range of SSP 30,000 to 45,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus performance‑based incentives.
