Job Overview: We are seeking a Digital Forestry and Conservation Manager to join our team in Sioma, Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital forestry and conservation strategies, working closely with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to achieve our conservation goals. The role will involve collaborating with our team to design and implement digital solutions for forest monitoring, conservation planning, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation, and digital technologies, with experience in project management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital forestry and conservation strategies, working closely with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with our team to design and implement digital solutions for forest monitoring, conservation planning, and community engagement.
  • Lead project teams to develop and implement conservation projects, working closely with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and project plans for conservation projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to achieve our conservation goals.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans to track the effectiveness of conservation projects.

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in conservation, environmental science, or related field.
  • Strong background in digital technologies, including data analysis, GIS, and remote sensing.
  • Experience in project management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
