We are currently seeking a Geophysics Research Scientist to join our team in Chingola, Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in geophysics, with a focus on the application of geophysical methods to understanding the Earth’s subsurface.
Job Overview
The Geophysics Research Scientist will be responsible for conducting research in geophysics, with a focus on the application of geophysical methods to understanding the Earth’s subsurface. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of geoscientists and engineers to develop and apply new geophysical techniques, and to interpret and analyze geophysical data.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for publishing research papers in leading scientific journals, and for presenting research findings at conferences and workshops.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced geophysicist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in geophysics, and will have a strong track record of research and publication in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in geophysics, with a focus on the application of geophysical methods to understanding the Earth’s subsurface.
- Develop and apply new geophysical techniques, and interpret and analyze geophysical data.
- Publish research papers in leading scientific journals.
- Present research findings at conferences and workshops.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in geophysics.
- Strong track record of research and publication in the field of geophysics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in geophysics from a recognized university.
Experience
The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in geophysics, with a strong track record of research and publication in the field.
Salary
The salary for this position is 8000-12000 SSP per month.
