Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geophysics Research Scientist to join our team in Solwezi, Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and providing advice on geophysical applications in the fields of exploration, environmental monitoring, and natural hazard mitigation.

The position will involve working closely with our international partners and stakeholders to develop and implement new geophysical technologies and methods. The successful candidate will also be responsible for mentoring and supervising junior staff members and contributing to the development of our research and development programs.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Geophysics and at least 8 years of experience in research and development. They will have a strong background in geophysical methods and techniques, including seismic, gravity, and magnetic surveys. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and provide advice on geophysical applications in the fields of exploration, environmental monitoring, and natural hazard mitigation.
  • Develop and implement new geophysical technologies and methods in collaboration with international partners and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff members and contribute to the development of our research and development programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to develop and implement new research and development initiatives.
  • Required Skills
  • Ph.D. in Geophysics or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in research and development.
