Job Summary

Zambia Sugar Plc is seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Driver to support transportation operations across company facilities and operational sites. The successful candidate will ensure timely movement of personnel, materials, documents, and equipment while maintaining excellent vehicle condition and compliance with road safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Transport employees, visitors, and authorized personnel to designated locations.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle logbooks.
  • Ensure adherence to road traffic regulations and company transport policies.
  • Coordinate delivery and collection of documents, equipment, and supplies.
  • Report maintenance requirements and mechanical faults promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of assigned vehicles.
  • Support operational teams during field assignments and business travel.
  • Assist with route planning and fuel management.
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading of materials when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling company information and documents.
  • Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid Zambian Driver’s License (Class B or higher).
  • Defensive driving certification is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Good knowledge of Zambia’s road networks and traffic regulations.

Experience Requirements

  • 2–5 years of professional driving experience preferred.
  • Experience in corporate transportation, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, or distribution environments is advantageous.
  • Clean driving record with a strong safety history.
  • Experience operating light commercial vehicles and company transport fleets.

Salary and Benefits

Monthly Salary: ZMW 7,500 – ZMW 11,500 (depending on qualifications and experience)
