Key Job Responsibilities
The Workshop Manager will oversee technical maintenance, workshop operations, inventory control, and vendor management.
Fleet Maintenance Coordination & Technical Oversight
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance for TATA commercial vehicles
- Reduce vehicle downtime and improve fleet availability and uptime
- Provide diagnostics support for:
- Cummins Euro III engines
- TATA diesel engines (697TC / 697TCBSIII series)
- Electric tricycles (EV fleet)
- Monitor engine performance, recurring breakdowns, and maintenance trends
- Liaise with workshops and service providers for repairs and overhauls
- Conduct maintenance and servicing of electric tricycles
- Diagnose and repair motors, controllers, wiring systems, brakes, suspension, and steering components
- Carry out lubrication, adjustments, servicing, and roadworthiness inspections

- Managing EV tricycle spare parts including batteries, controllers, and electrical systems
- Controlling minimum and maximum stock levels, reorder points, and safety stock
- Ensuring accurate stock reconciliation, GRN processing, and physical verification
- Monitoring obsolete, slow-moving, and non-moving inventory
- Supporting spare parts tracking and consumption analysis

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Trade certification in automotive or mechanical maintenance is an added advantage
- Minimum 7–10 years of hands-on workshop or fleet maintenance experience
- At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Proven experience managing heavy commercial vehicles, forklifts, plant equipment, and fleet operations
