The Environmental Monitoring Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing environmental monitoring programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement environmental monitoring programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation measures to minimize environmental impacts
- Monitor and report on environmental indicators and trends to inform policy and decision-making
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector companies, to promote environmental sustainability
- Develop and implement training programs for EPA staff and stakeholders on environmental monitoring and sustainability
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental monitoring and sustainability
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards in Zambia
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Environment:The EPA is a dynamic and collaborative work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. The successful candidate will be based in Ndola, Zambia and will be required to travel occasionally to other parts of the country.
