Job Overview:WWF Zambia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Monitoring Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing environmental monitoring programs to assess the impact of human activities on the environment. The position will be based in Mpika, Zambia and will require frequent travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement environmental monitoring programs to assess the impact of human activities on the environment
  • Collect and analyze data from field surveys and laboratory tests
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate the impact of human activities on the environment
  • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote environmental conservation

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in environmental monitoring and conservation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
