Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for various projects and programs in Zambia
- Identify potential environmental risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into project design and implementation
- Develop and implement environmental management plans for projects
- Conduct environmental monitoring and reporting
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and management
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies in Zambia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a related field will be an added advantage.
Experience
The successful candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and management. Experience working in Zambia or other developing countries will be an added advantage.
Salary
The salary for this position is 50,000 – 80,000 SSP per annum.
