Job Overview

The Learning Experience Platform (LXP) Manager will lead the design, development, and deployment of Pearson’s flagship LXP tailored for the Zambian market. Reporting to the Regional Director of Product, the role involves translating educational needs into a seamless digital experience, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and ensuring the platform aligns with local curricula and language requirements. This position is central to Pearson’s strategy of delivering personalized learning pathways that empower students, teachers, and administrators across the country.

Key performance indicators include platform adoption rates, user satisfaction scores, and measurable improvements in learner outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Define product vision, roadmap, and feature set for the LXP in alignment with Zambian education standards.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of developers, UX designers, instructional designers, and data analysts.
  • Conduct market research, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing to gather insights.
  • Collaborate with curriculum experts to embed local content, language options, and assessment tools.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through launch, monitoring performance and iterating based on feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and government education policies.
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies, including pricing, partnership models, and promotional campaigns.
  • Track key metrics such as user engagement, retention, and learning outcome improvements.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior leadership and regional partners.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience managing SaaS or EdTech platforms, preferably in emerging markets.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and learning analytics.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex educational requirements into technical specifications.
  • Data‑driven decision making with proficiency in analytics tools.
  • Leadership experience in agile environments.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages (e.g., Bemba, Lozi) is a plus.

Education

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) are highly desirable.

Experience

At least five years of professional experience in product management within the education technology sector, with a track record of successfully launching digital learning solutions. Experience working with government or nonprofit education programs in Africa will be considered an advantage.

Salary

The remuneration package ranges from SSP 120,000 to 180,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits suite.
