Job Overview

The Chief AI Ethics Officer will lead the development and implementation of ethical frameworks, policies, and governance structures for all AI initiatives within AWS Zambia. This senior role reports directly to the Head of Compliance and works closely with product managers, data scientists, legal counsel, and external regulators to ensure that AI solutions are transparent, fair, and aligned with both international best practices and Zambian regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve an AI ethics framework tailored to AWS Zambia’s services and local regulations.

Education

Experience

Minimum of eight years of professional experience in AI development, data governance, or compliance, with at least three years in a leadership or advisory role focused on ethical AI. Prior experience in a cloud services environment or large‑scale technology organization is preferred.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based bonuses and equity options may be offered.
