Job Overview: We are seeking a Digital Forestry and Conservation Manager to join our team in Mongu, Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our digital forestry and conservation efforts in the region, working closely with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable forest management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital forestry and conservation strategies in collaboration with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct field research and monitoring to assess the impact of our conservation efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with our global team to develop and implement best practices in digital forestry and conservation.
- Develop and manage budgets and project plans to ensure effective use of resources.
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in digital forestry and conservation, with a focus on community engagement and sustainable forest management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform conservation decisions.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
