Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Digital Forestry and Conservation Manager to join our team in Mpika, Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our digital forestry initiatives, developing and implementing conservation strategies, and collaborating with local stakeholders to achieve our conservation goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital forestry initiatives to support conservation efforts
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community groups
- Conduct research and analysis to inform conservation strategies and policy development
- Develop and manage budgets, grants, and partnerships to support conservation initiatives
- Provide technical assistance and training to local communities and stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in digital forestry, conservation, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of digital forestry tools and technologies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
