Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Digital Forestry and Conservation Manager to join our team in Siavonga, Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our digital forestry initiatives, developing and implementing conservation strategies, and collaborating with local communities to protect and restore natural habitats.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of conservationists, scientists, and community leaders to make a real difference in the lives of people and the planet.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital forestry initiatives to monitor and manage forest resources
- Collaborate with local communities to develop and implement conservation strategies
- Conduct research and analysis to inform conservation decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities
- Manage and supervise a team of conservation staff
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in conservation, forestry, or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful conservation initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
