Job Overview
The E-Commerce Operations Manager will oversee the end-to-end operations of Shoprite Zambia’s online retail platform. This role requires strategic leadership to optimize digital sales processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and integrate cutting-edge technologies to maintain a competitive edge in Zambia’s growing e-commerce market. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and scale Shoprite Zambia’s e-commerce operations, including inventory, logistics, and customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve online sales performance and customer retention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate e-commerce platforms with physical store operations.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Zambian retail regulations and industry standards for online commerce.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in e-commerce operations and digital retail strategies.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento) and supply chain management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Digital Commerce or E-Commerce Management is an advantage.
Experience
3–5 years of progressive experience in e-commerce operations, preferably in the retail sector. Demonstrated success in managing online sales platforms and optimizing digital customer experiences is required.
Salary
250,000 – 350,000 Zambian Kwacha (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and performance.
