Job Overview

The Marine Logistics Coordinator will oversee the end‑to‑end coordination of sea‑borne cargo movements, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery of goods through the Port of Dar es Salaam and inland transport corridors to Mongu. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with port agents, customs officials, and inland transport providers to resolve any clearance or logistical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo status, inventory levels, and shipment performance metrics.

  • Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, Zambian customs laws, and company safety policies.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of maritime shipping operations, freight forwarding, and customs procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on efficiency.
  • Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP TM, CargoWise) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for dealing with diverse stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Portuguese is an advantage.

Education
