Job Overview

This role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within DHL Zambia’s supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments for supply chain vulnerabilities, including supplier reliability, transportation disruptions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize operational downtime and financial losses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design resilient supply chain networks and contingency plans.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics using advanced analytics tools to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor global and regional market trends to anticipate potential risks and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to DHL’s sustainability and ethical sourcing policies across all supply chain activities.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in supply chain risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000, SCOR model).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong understanding of Zambian and international logistics regulations, including customs compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and intermediate proficiency in a local language (e.g., Bemba, Nyanja).
  • Experience in logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS) and project management methodologies (Agile, Six Sigma).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CSCP, CRISC) are highly advantageous.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in supply chain risk management, preferably within logistics or manufacturing sectors. Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end supply chain operations in a multinational environment.

Salary
