As a Sustainability Consultant, you will lead initiatives to help clients reduce their environmental footprint, develop sustainable business strategies, and comply with international environmental standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and sustainability audits for corporate clients.
- Design and implement carbon reduction strategies aligned with global climate frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) metrics into business models.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders on sustainability performance.
- Advise on compliance with Zambian environmental regulations and international standards like ISO 14001.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating environmental data and trends.
- Proficiency in sustainability software tools (e.g., EcoVadis, Carbon Trust).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems and waste management practices.
- Fluency in both English and local Zambian languages is an advantage.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
- Master’s Degree in Environmental Management or Climate Science preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in environmental consulting or sustainability project management.
- Proven track record in delivering ESG-related projects in the mining, agriculture, or energy sectors.
Salary
15,000 – 25,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
