Job Overview
Lead large-scale construction projects in Kasama, Zambia, with a focus on sustainable design, energy efficiency, and eco-friendly materials. This role requires managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with local stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with international green building standards. The position is ideal for professionals passionate about merging construction expertise with environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee planning, budgeting, and execution of sustainable construction projects
- Implement LEED, BREEAM, or equivalent green building certification standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and local authorities to optimize project sustainability
- Monitor carbon footprint reduction and resource efficiency metrics
- Develop project timelines and ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations
Required Skills
- Proven experience in sustainable construction project management
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, or similar design software
- Knowledge of renewable energy integration in buildings
- Strong leadership and stakeholder communication abilities
- Fluency in Zambian construction regulations and sustainability frameworks
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Sustainable Development
- Master’s Degree in Sustainable Construction preferred
Experience
- 5+ years in construction project management
- 3+ years in sustainable building practices
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) advantageous
Salary
1,200,000 – 1,800,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
