Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Sales Manager will lead SolarNow’s sales initiatives in the Livingstone region, identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and achieving revenue targets. This role is pivotal in promoting solar solutions that address Zambia’s energy challenges while supporting the country’s climate goals. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to increase market share for solar products and services in Livingstone and surrounding districts.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to design customized solar solutions that meet client specifications and budget constraints.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, forecast revenue, and report progress to senior management.
- Represent SolarNow at industry events, trade shows, and community outreach programs to enhance brand visibility.
Required Skills
- Proven track record in renewable energy or clean‑technology sales, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of solar PV technology, financing options, and regulatory environment in Zambia.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement sales plans.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in solar energy or sales management are considered a plus.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience driving sales in the renewable energy sector, preferably with exposure to the Zambian market. Experience managing a sales team or leading cross‑functional projects will be highly valued.
Salary
SolarNow offers a competitive salary range of SSP 150,000 to 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience and performance. A performance‑based commission structure provides additional earning potential.
