Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Forestry and Conservation Manager to join our team in Mpika, Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our digital forestry and conservation efforts in the region, including developing and implementing digital solutions to monitor and manage forest resources. The candidate will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote conservation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital solutions to monitor and manage forest resources
  • Build and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote conservation efforts
  • Lead our digital forestry and conservation efforts in the region
  • Develop and implement conservation plans and strategies
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation efforts

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in conservation and digital forestry
  • Strong knowledge of digital technologies and their applications in conservation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
